A Love Like a Mother's — and Greater (Isaiah 49:15-16)

Isaiah 49:15-16 · Berean Standard Bible

"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!" Isaiah 49:15-16 takes a mother's tender, unforgetting love as the measure of God's own love — then declares that God's love is even greater, for he has engraved his children on the palms of his hands.

15“Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the son of her womb? Even if she could forget, I will not forget you!

16Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me.

Read the wider context: Isaiah 49.
