The Narrow Gate and the Wide Gate
Matthew 7:13-14 · Berean Standard Bible
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus describes two gates and two roads. The wide gate and broad road are easy to travel and many enter through them, but they lead to destruction. The narrow gate and narrow road lead to life, and only a few find them. Jesus invites everyone listening to enter through the narrow gate and walk the road that leads to life with him.
13Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.
