Whatever You Do, Work for the Lord
Colossians 3:23-24 · Berean Standard Bible
Colossians 3:23-24 reframes ordinary work as worship: 'Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.' It promises that the true reward comes from God — an inheritance from the Lord — because ultimately 'it is the Lord Christ you are serving.' This is the verse for anyone wanting their job to have eternal meaning.
23Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, as for the Lord and not for men,
24because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
