God Loves a Cheerful Giver
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 · Berean Standard Bible
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 is the classic passage on generous giving: 'whoever sows generously will also reap generously,' and each should give 'not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.' It promises that God is able to bless you abundantly so that you have all you need and plenty to share. Giving here flows from a willing heart, not guilt.
6Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
7Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not out of regret or compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver.
8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
