Children Are a Gift From God (Psalm 127:3-5)
Psalms 127:3-5 · Berean Standard Bible
"Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth." Psalm 127:3-5 answers directly why the Bible calls children a blessing and a gift — they are not a burden but a reward, entrusted to parents by God himself.
3Children are indeed a heritage from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is His reward.
4Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are children born in one’s youth.
5Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. He will not be put to shame when he confronts the enemies at the gate.
