Your Data Rights

Under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, POPIA, CCPA, and similar laws, you have the right to request erasure of your personal data. This page explains how to delete your content while keeping your account active. For complete account deletion, see our Delete Account page.

How to Delete Your Data

Doxa gives you full control over your data. You can delete your records (prophecies, testimonies, encouragements, voice chat sessions) at any time while keeping your account active.

Export First: If you want to keep a copy of your data before deletion, contact us at privacy@doxa.app to request a data export. This is your right under data protection law.

Option 1: Delete Records In-App (Recommended)

Steps:

  1. Open the Doxa app
  2. Go to Settings (tap the gear icon)
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. Tap "Clear All Data"
  5. Confirm the deletion

This will permanently delete all your prophecies, testimonies, and encouragements. Your account will remain active so you can continue using Doxa.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you prefer, you can email us to request data deletion:

We will process your request within 30 days as required by GDPR/UK GDPR.

What Gets Deleted

⚠️ Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

  • Prophecies: All prophecy records you've created
  • Testimonies: All testimony records you've created
  • Encouragements: All encouragement records you've created
  • Audio recordings: Any audio files associated with your records
  • Voice chat sessions: All Engage session history and summaries
  • Tags and notes: All tags and notes on your records
  • Bookmarks: All saved bookmarks

What Is Retained

  • Account: Your account remains active (email, profile, preferences)
  • Group memberships: You remain a member of any groups
  • Shared content: Content others have shared with you (their data, not yours)
  • Subscription status: Your subscription remains active
  • Grace Record submissions: Testimonies you submitted for public publication may remain (contact us to request removal)

What Deletion Does NOT Affect

  • Content others have copied or saved before your deletion
  • Publicly shared content (e.g., Grace Record submissions)
  • Data held by third-party services per their own policies
  • Anonymised aggregate statistics
