Ally Yost and Ashley Hetherington are two 20-something social media influencers combining their clout with their faith to turn Gen Z into a new generation of "Jesus Freaks."

Christian Influencers Launch YouTube Ministry

In late 2024, they launched a YouTube series called Jesus Freaks that follows their lives as two Christian women navigating faith, friendships, and culture in Los Angeles - a city not exactly known for biblical values. The series has been streamed more than one million times, born out of their combined 5 million followers across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

God Connects Two Hearts

Their journey began providentially. Ashley met Ally on Instagram, and they stayed in touch. When Ally decided to move to Nashville, she discovered Ashley lived there. They met for coffee and became fast friends. The second time they got together, Ally mentioned wishing there was a way to show people their age how to walk with God daily. Ashley couldn't believe her ears - that's exactly what had been on her heart for months.

Moving to LA for Revival

Both women sensed God directing them to move to LA, produce a series, and pray for revival. In May 2024, they packed their belongings and moved west. In just three months, they and a small crew produced five episodes of Jesus Freaks.

"I think that once you encounter a love like Jesus, you can't help but tell everyone about it," Ally said on THE 700 CLUB. "I think our generation really just needs that hope, and I think we're searching for it."

Growing up, Ashley watched reality shows "where people would be partying and doing things that were not godly." They wanted to see a faith presence in that genre.

Gen Z Evangelism Bears Fruit

Their impact is already evident - Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' daughter Lola came to Christ after seeing one of Ally's social media posts about Jesus during a hard time. Lola was later baptized.

The pair is now preparing Season 2, with a long-term goal to partner with a mainstream streaming platform "so it can truly be an evangelistic tool to reach people."
