A Moment That Changed Everything
In 2008, during a ministry trip to Thessaloniki, Greece, Christine Caine's life took a pivotal turn. As she walked through the airport, she noticed haunting posters of missing women and children. This moment, as Christine later recounted, was when 'God broke my heart for the issue of human trafficking.' Her faith compelled her to act, transforming anguish into action.
From Evangelism to Advocacy
Christine, a prominent speaker and member of Hillsong Church, had previously focused on evangelism and empowerment. However, after witnessing the harsh reality of human trafficking, she felt a profound responsibility to help. Her response was the founding of The A21 Campaign, an organization dedicated to eradicating human trafficking and restoring the lives of its victims.
A Remarkable Transformation
Before this encounter, Christine's work was impactful, yet she had not engaged in anti-trafficking efforts. The transformation was remarkable; her ministry expanded to include advocacy, direct intervention, and support for victims. Under her leadership, A21 established offices worldwide, implementing programs to rescue, rehabilitate, and empower those affected by trafficking.
Hands and Feet of Jesus
Christine's faith and passion for justice have been the driving forces behind A21's success. She often emphasizes the need for believers to be 'the hands and feet of Jesus in a world that desperately needs hope and freedom.' As a result of her obedience to this call, countless lives have been changed, and many have found freedom through the work of A21. Christine attributes all glory to God, acknowledging that it was Jesus who intervened, guiding her steps and providing the strength to pursue this mission.
