Christian Persecution Vietnam Testimony
In the remote regions of Lai Chau Province, Vietnam, the Hmong Christians face severe persecution for their faith. Zong Xiong Hang, a Hmong Christian, detailed his harrowing experience in a letter dated January 30, 2002. He recounted how the Vietnamese military administered painful drug injections to force the villagers in Na Ling to abandon their belief in Jesus. Zong wrote, "I would like you to know that on January 17, 2002, the army gave me an injection which almost killed me. They came to force us to not believe in Jesus." Despite these threats, Zong's faith remained unshaken. "I have served the Lord for nine years, always under persecution," he shared, his words reflecting both resilience and deep sorrow.
Courageous Faith Under Pressure
Pastor Foom Chao, another Hmong leader, faced repeated arrests for distributing Bibles. On one occasion, after being coerced to fingerprint a document declaring Christianity as false, he courageously addressed a gathering of Hmong believers in their native language, "I want to let you know I am not wrong. They forced me to give my fingerprint. Jesus is true, and I want to continue to be a Christian." His defiance and faith inspired many; despite being beaten, he praised God for the persecution, acknowledging that it led even more Hmong people to embrace Christianity.
Miraculous Healing Changes Everything
In the case of Hien, a profound transformation occurred when his son was healed by a Christian pastor after being demon-possessed. This miracle led Hien to convert to Christianity, but he faced severe repercussions. Hien was beaten by his uncle, his children were taken from him, and he was evicted from his home. Yet, he held onto his faith, testifying to God's power and love.
Unshakable Faith Despite Trials
These stories illustrate the trials and unwavering faith of Vietnam's Hmong Christians. Despite intense persecution, they remain steadfast in their belief, crediting Jesus for their strength and the miraculous changes in their lives. Through their trials, they continue to spread the message of Jesus, even under threat of violence and imprisonment.
