2,000 Children, Empty Cupboards
George Müller housed over 10,000 orphans in Bristol, England, during his lifetime. He never asked anyone for money. He only prayed.
One morning, 2,000 children sat down for breakfast. There was no food. Not a crumb in the kitchen.
Müller told the children to sit. He prayed: "Dear Father, we thank You for what You are going to give us to eat."
The Baker and the Milk Cart
As he finished praying, there was a knock at the door. A baker stood there: "Mr. Müller, I couldn't sleep last night. I felt I should bake bread for your orphans. Here are three batches."
Before the baker left, a milk cart broke down right outside the orphanage. The driver asked if they could use the milk before it spoiled.
The children ate. Again.
50,000 Answers to Prayer
In over 60 years of running orphanages, Müller recorded over 50,000 specific answers to prayer. He kept meticulous journals documenting God's provision - never late, never short.
"The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith. The beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety."
