Born Without Limbs
Born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1982, Nick Vujicic entered the world under challenging circumstances. He was born with tetra-amelia syndrome, which left him without arms and legs. Despite having a father who was a pastor, Nick faced a profound crisis of faith. As he recalled, 'I convinced myself there was no hope. I convinced myself that there was no God. But if there was a God, He was simply unfair.' During his early years, Nick struggled with bullying and depression, feeling isolated and without purpose. At the tender age of 10, he attempted to end his life, believing it was pointless. 'I tried to drown myself in our family bathtub because I felt alone, I felt worthless,' he shared. But a realization stopped him mid-attempt: the understanding that his death would cause his family even more pain.
Finding Purpose in Jesus
At 13, a pivotal moment occurred when Nick injured his foot, what he calls his 'chicken drumstick,' and he realized the importance of gratitude for what he had. By age 15, a profound shift occurred when Nick committed his life to Jesus. Through a passage in John 9 about a blind man, Nick understood that God had a plan for him. 'If God has a plan for a blind man, God's got a plan for me,' he realized. Encouraged by a high school janitor, Nick began to speak about overcoming adversity and his growing faith. He found his purpose in sharing his story and inspiring others.
From Despair to Hope
Nick's transformation was complete as he embraced his faith wholeheartedly. He graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Commerce, defying the limitations many thought he faced. His life, once marked by despair, became a testament to hope and perseverance.

Nick founded Life Without Limbs, a ministry to spread the message of Jesus, and traveled the world as a motivational speaker. He often says, 'Maybe when I don't get a miracle, I can still be one.' His story reached millions, and he inspired countless lives, proving that with Jesus, nothing is impossible. Attributing all glory to God, Nick continues to demonstrate the transformative power of faith.
