Luke 1:32

I will establish your line forever — Jesus on David's throne

“‘I will establish your offspring forever and build up your throne for all generations.’” Selah”

I will raise up a righteous Branch from David — Jesus on David's throne

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and He will reign wisely as King and will administer justice and righteousness in the land.”

My servant David will be king over them — Jesus given the throne of David

“My servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow My ordinances and keep and observe My statutes.”

God's promise to David: 'I will raise up your offspring... and I will establish his kingdom forever.' Solomon was a partial fulfilment. Luke shows the angel telling Mary her son would receive 'the throne of his father David.'

“And when your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.”
