Cast All Your Anxiety on Him (1 Peter 5:6-7)

1 Peter 5:7 tells anxious hearts exactly what to do with the weight they carry: 'Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.' The preceding verse grounds it in humility, 'Humble yourselves under God's mighty hand.' The picture is of throwing every worry onto God, not because your cares are small, but because his care for you is greater.
6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.
7Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
