The Christmas Bill
A couple sees a breakthrough in joy and a miracle in their finances.
A Bethel member shared this testimony:
When my husband retired, we got a bill from the IRS for $75,000 two days before Christmas. This ruined our Christmas. I prayed and cried for two weeks. There was no way we could have paid it; we would have had to sell our home.
Laughter in Prayer
But one day, in the middle of praying in the early morning time, I started laughing for a good ten minutes. It felt so good. I had not laughed like that in years. I heard the Lord say, "Don't call them today. Call them tomorrow at 10:00a.m." I had so much peace after the laughter.
You Don't Owe Us Anything
So the next day I called at 10:00am and got a specialist. He put me on hold for at least a half hour. Then he said, "You don't owe us anything. In fact, we owe you!" It was only about $30. We were so happy, we cried.
