23 Years of Paralysis After Accident
On Christmas Day in 1987, Delia Knox's life changed dramatically when a drunk driver hit the car she was traveling in, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. For nearly 23 years, Delia, a gospel singer known for her unwavering faith, ministered from her wheelchair, despite having lost hope of ever walking again. She often avoided healing services, exhausted by past disappointments, saying, "I've been plopped, dropped and flopped, and flipped to the point where I was like, 'I just can't go through this anymore'".
The Holy Spirit Revival Encounter
In 2010, Delia attended the Bay of the Holy Spirit Revival in Mobile, Alabama, led by Evangelist Nathan Morris. She initially went to support friends, unaware that healings were taking place. During the service, Nathan Morris prayed for her husband, Bishop Levy Knox, and Delia felt a divine nudge. As she later recounted, "I felt a voice which I knew was the Holy Spirit saying to me, 'Get up', and I felt feeling in my legs and then faith came on me to walk."
Wheelchair Healing Miracle Unfolds
In a moment captured on video, Delia stood up and walked for the first time in over two decades. She described the experience as stepping into another realm, feeling her knees bend and click into place. "I walked and walked and walked," she testified, "I wasn't going to let anyone take this away from me and I knew this was my night to walk out of the chair."
Life Transformed After Divine Healing
This miraculous healing, which took place on August 27, 2010, transformed Delia's life. She rarely uses her wheelchair now and can move freely around her home. Visiting her parents in Buffalo, New York, she triumphantly climbed the stairs to their house, a feat she hadn't accomplished in 22 years. Three months post-healing, Delia returned to the revival walking unaided and in high heels, a testament to the lasting impact of her encounter. Delia continues to share her story, giving glory to Jesus for this miracle and praying for others in need of healing.
