Just a Churchgoer
I grew up in church, but I was merely a churchgoer. Jesus was never real to me. I went through the motions, sat in the pews, heard the sermons—but none of it had touched my heart.
Then one day, my grandparents took me with them on a missions trip to Mexico.
Everything Changed in Mexico
I was 14 years old when we arrived. And there, on that missions trip, my life totally changed.
I can't fully explain it, but God became real to me. Jesus wasn't just a name in a book anymore—He was alive, He was present, and He was calling me.
Since then, God planted in my heart the desire to preach. I shared my first testimony at 13, and by 16, I preached my first sermon.
Becoming the Pastor of Christian TikTok
In 2019, I started making TikToks as a joke. But then I began making apologetics videos and sharing my testimony with my followers.
Something unexpected happened. People started watching—a lot of people. If Christian TikTok were a church, people say I'd be the pastor. I don't take that lightly.
Now I organize live "testimony nights" and prayer sessions over Zoom and Instagram Live, where hundreds of young people gather to share stories of what God is doing in their lives.
Reaching My Generation
Pastors and church leaders today don't always know how to reach Gen Z. We grew up with the internet—it's how we communicate, learn, and connect.
As a member of this generation, I have a unique influence. They immediately have my respect because I understand their world.
Approximately 60 percent of TikTok users belong to Gen Z. And Gen Z is twice as likely to identify as atheist compared to the rest of the country. That's why I'm here—to show them that Jesus is real and He loves them.
Staying Grounded
I take my influence seriously. There's pressure to be 18 and have it all together in the spotlight. At one point, I stepped back for a few weeks to refocus spiritually—to make sure I wasn't finding my identity in platform over purpose.
I don't think the potential danger is a reason to not be in online ministry. The harvest is plentiful. Someone needs to go.
