Tuberculosis Healing Through Divine Intervention
In the early days of Pentecostalism in Romania, Gheorghe Bradin returned from the United States with a fervent mission. His wife was suffering from tuberculosis, a formidable illness at the time. Despite medical efforts, her condition worsened, leading Bradin to seek divine intervention. Inspired by the accounts of faith and healing he encountered in the United States, he decided to trust God for his wife's recovery.
Miraculous Healing Through Prayer
Gheorghe's home in Paulis, Arad County, became a place of prayer and faith, where he fervently prayed for his wife's healing. In what can only be described as a miraculous event, God healed her through prayer. This divine intervention was a turning point, not just for the Bradin family, but for many who heard of the miracle.
Growing Faith Despite Persecution
Bradin began spreading the message of Jesus' power to heal and transform lives. By the end of 1922, his congregation had grown to 30 members, despite the Pentecostal movement being declared illegal in Romania in 1923. Undeterred, Bradin and other early preachers like Ioan Neța and Pavel Ciuciu continued to share the message of faith and healing, seeing the faith spread across regions like Moldavia, Banat, and Crişana.
Their faith was tested under the communist regime, which restricted religious practices, yet the community's determination never wavered. They experienced God's support, who empowered them to endure persecution and continue their work. As a result, the Pentecostal church in Romania grew to nearly half a million believers, demonstrating Jesus' enduring impact on their lives.
Lasting Testament to God's Power
Today, the story of Gheorghe Bradin's wife's healing remains a powerful testimony of Jesus' ability to heal and transform lives. It serves as a reminder that faith, when placed in Jesus, can bring about profound change, even in the face of adversity.
