Early Challenges
Josip Dobutovic was born into a Christian family in Vinkovci, Croatia, but his early life was marked by challenges. A difficult birth left him with a permanently damaged shoulder and impaired eyesight, hindering his dreams of working with cars or computers.
A Personal Encounter
Yet, these obstacles were the beginning of a divine plan for his life. After high school, Josip's pastor invited him to assist with a Christian camp ministry. It was during this time that Josip experienced a profound personal encounter with Jesus. As he later recounted, "Through this, I experienced a personal encounter with Jesus and a growing desire to serve my church."
Discovering Purpose
This transformation led him to pursue theological studies and eventually, full-time ministry. Josip realized that his shoulder condition, which had diverted him from his original career plans, had actually directed him toward his true calling.
