Childhood Abuse and Identity Crisis

Born in Sydney, Australia, Christine Caine faced immense challenges from an early age. Growing up in the 1960s and 70s, she was marginalized due to her Greek heritage and gender, and endured twelve harrowing years of childhood abuse. At 33, she discovered she had been adopted and left unnamed at birth, a revelation that shook her identity. Despite these adversities, Christine's life took a transformative turn when she encountered Jesus at a Hillsong Church event.

God Speaking Through Scripture

During a moment of deep despair, Christine recalls weeping over her birth certificate, feeling unworthy and forgotten. It was then she felt compelled to open her Bible to Isaiah 49:1, where she read, 'From the womb of your mother, I have called you by name.' In that moment, Christine sensed God speaking to her, affirming her worth and identity.

Ministry Born from Transformation

This encounter with Jesus reshaped her life, leading her to a passionate faith journey. She emerged from her past, not defined by her history but by her newfound purpose in Christ. Christine, together with her husband Nick, founded The A21 Campaign in 2008, an organization dedicated to eradicating human trafficking. They operate in 19 locations across 14 countries, offering hope and freedom to countless victims.

Living Free in Christ

Christine also founded Propel Women in 2015, empowering women to embrace their leadership potential. Through her ministry and writing, she continually testifies to the freedom found in Christ. As she boldly states, 'Until my dying breath, I will continue to declare that there is freedom in Christ.'

Christine Caine's life is a testament to the transformative power of Jesus. Through His intervention, she overcame shame and past wounds to step into her God-given purpose. Her story is a beacon of hope, showing that with Jesus, anyone can start bad and finish good.
