Gunnar Olson, the Swedish founder of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce, owned Alfapac, a company that manufactured huge plastic bags used to cover bales of hay across European farmlands. During harvest season, the company was preparing to ship thousands of pallets of these bags to customers.
Manufacturing Disaster Threatens Business
Then came the alarming discovery: every single bag on the warehouse floor had sealed shut from top to bottom. More than 1,000 pallets of product were now worthless. Scientists and plastic experts examined the stock and declared it trash. Nothing could be done. The company faced ruin.
Family Prayer for Miracle
Gunnar gathered his family - his wife and children - to seek the Lord in prayer about this catastrophe. As they prayed, the Holy Spirit spoke through various family members. His wife said with bold faith, "If God can turn water into wine, what are plastics?"
His daughter declared, "I don't believe this is from the Lord. We should stand against it."
Gunnar sensed they were to trust God for a miracle. They began to pray, taking authority over this mountain of a problem based on Matthew 17, which promises that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains.
God Restored Every Product
The following Monday, Gunnar and his family went to the warehouse and laid hands on every single pallet, asking the Lord to restore the bags to their original condition. It took several hours to pray over the entire inventory.
When the employees began to inspect the bags, they made an astounding discovery: every single bag had been restored to its original, usable condition. Not one remained sealed. The molecules had somehow migrated back to their proper positions.
An incredible miracle had taken place. The company was saved - not through human expertise, but through the prayer of faith. What the scientists declared impossible, God made possible.
"Listen heaven and listen earth, who is the Lord of Alfapac," Gunnar prayed. "His name is Jesus, and in the name of Jesus we command all the molecules to migrate back." And they did.
