Paralyzed from Typhoid Fever
Gulshan Esther, born in 1952 in Jhang, Punjab, Pakistan, lived a life of privilege but also of suffering. At six months old, she contracted typhoid fever, leaving her paralyzed on her left side. Despite her family's wealth and influence, no medical treatment could heal her. At 14, a specialist in England told her father that only prayer could bring healing. Desperate for a miracle, Gulshan and her father traveled to Mecca, yet returned without the healing they sought.
Jesus Speaks in Despair
After her father passed away when she was just 16, Gulshan was overwhelmed with despair. In her grief, she cried out to God and, for the first time, felt heard. One night, she heard a gentle voice say, "I won't let you die. I will keep you alive. I am Jesus, Son of Mary." This divine encounter led her to read about Jesus in the Quran, where she discovered His miracles and began to believe in Him.
Miraculous Healing Vision at 3 AM
One night at 3 a.m., Gulshan had a life-changing vision. Jesus appeared to her in her room, surrounded by twelve radiant figures. The room was filled with an unearthly light, and Jesus spoke to her, "Get up. This is the path you have been seeking. I am Jesus, Son of Mary, to whom you have been praying, and now I am standing in front of you. You get up and come to me." Though she hesitated, Jesus assured her, "Stand up and come to me." As she obeyed, strength surged into her limbs, and she stood, walked, and ran for the first time in 19 years.
Life Transformed Through Faith
Embracing her new faith, Gulshan became a follower of Jesus, sharing her testimony with others despite facing severe persecution. She lost her inheritance and was imprisoned, yet her resolve remained unshaken. Her story, chronicled in her autobiography "The Torn Veil," continues to inspire many. Through her miraculous healing and transformation, Jesus is glorified as the one who healed her and gave her new life.
