After 21 Days of Water Fast, God Answered My Prayers: Christine’s Story
The Revelation of Water Fasting
Christine, an ordained minister from Texas, shares her journey of fasting, growth, and miraculous change. In 2022, she received a revelation from the Lord about unresolved trauma that she needed to address. Her journey illustrates how God guided her towards a lifestyle of prayer and fasting, including a 21-day water fast, leading to inner healing and significant breakthroughs in both her personal life and marriage. A Call to Deeper Healing
Christine felt a deep call to address her past traumas through healing, asking the Lord for guidance on how to proceed. She recalls:
> “That’s when I discovered Pastor Vlad Online and heard about the 21-day water fast. Though I’d only done three-day fasts before, I felt compelled to take on this challenge.”
So, in January 2022, she began the fast, praying with conviction. She prayed:
> “God, if it’s Your will, change my life and heal me.”
Embracing the 21-Day Water Fast
Transitioning from a three-day to a lengthy 21-day water fast was no easy feat; however, Christine admits she was skeptical at first. Still trusting the Holy Spirit’s guidance, she began. To her amazement, God sustained her supernaturally; she emerged from the fast, feeling healthy and strong.
> “Even though I’d only been drinking water, the Lord sustained me as though I were eating normally,” she testifies.
Fasting for Her Husband’s Salvation
In 2023, Christine embarked on another extended 21-day fast, this time praying fervently for her backsliding husband’s salvation and healing within her marriage. She recounts:
> “This year, I prayed for my husband’s salvation, as he was not yet saved and didn’t join me in ministry. I committed the fast to both of us.”
Armed with faith and plenty of water, she pressed forward, believing God would work powerfully in their lives. Yet, after completing the fast, Christine encountered unexpected trials, including financial hardships and a pared-down lifestyle.
> “It felt as if we were losing everything,” she shares, “but I had an unshakable peace within me.”
Despite the challenges, Christine recognized God’s hand at work, sensing that this difficult season was drawing her husband closer to Christ.
“So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.” – Ezra 8:23
Rededication and a Miraculous Sign
In January 2024, Christine felt led to fast again, rededicating herself fully to God’s will through another water fast. She prayed:
> “Lord, I accept everything You want me to be. Let Your will be done in my life and ministry.”
However, during this fast, Christine asked God for a sign that her husband would come to know Him. She prayed fervently for the Lord to soften his heart.
A few days into the fast, she invited her husband to a small church service. To her delight, he agreed. That day, her husband was moved, and on the drive home, he shared his thoughts with her.
> “When I give my life back to Christ, I’d like us to join this church.”
Overcome with joy, Christine knew that God had answered her prayers. It was the sign she had prayed for, confirming her husband’s openness to salvation.
The Fulfillment of God’s Promise
On February 25, 2024, Christine’s husband, Jose, dedicated his life to Christ. Her three years of dedicated prayers and the water fast were answered that day. Moreover, since then, they have seen incredible transformation. Jose’s faith has grown daily, and he has expressed:
> “I feel closer to God than ever before.”
His newfound relationship with God is an answer to Christine’s deepest prayers.
A New Chapter in Ministry
Today, Christine and Jose are serving the Lord together. Jose has undergone a radical transformation and now actively participates in street evangelism and church activities. His love for God is evident to everyone around him; moreover, he even joined in the church’s spring cleaning efforts—a task he never would have considered before his spiritual renewal. She testifies:
> “I’m grateful to God for everything He has done in our lives. My marriage is now built on a foundation of faith and unity as we serve the Lord together.”
