A pivotal moment came in 1974 when Norm was pulled over for drunk driving but remarkably, the officer let him go without a ticket. The next morning, faced with the reality of his addiction, Norm cried out, 'God help me! I can't handle it!' In that moment, he felt God's presence lift the burden of his addiction. Norm committed his life to Christ and began a new journey.

Encouraged by a friend to read the Bible, Norm discovered a profound truth in its pages and recognized his need for change. 'I realized I was contrary to God's desires and a sinner,' he reflected.
