Carlos Annacondia was a man who seemingly had it all. In his mid-30s, he owned a successful nuts and bolts factory in Quilmes, near Buenos Aires. Despite his material success, Carlos was riddled with fears—of death, of losing his possessions, and of harm befalling his family. He was, in his own words, "broken and dry," holding onto a nominal faith without truly knowing Jesus.
Businessman Finds Jesus at Campaign
In 1979, curiosity led Carlos to an evangelical campaign in San Justo, where a Panamanian preacher, Manuel Ruiz, was speaking. There, Carlos experienced a life-altering moment. He heard a voice, which he knew to be Jesus, saying, "Carlos, you're so worried about life – for your children's future, for your businesses – you are unhappy. Give me your heart, I will give you life." On May 19, 1979, Carlos and his wife Maria surrendered their lives to Jesus, and Carlos, for the first time, found himself in tears.
Immediate Transformation and Holy Spirit
The transformation was immediate and profound. Carlos gave up smoking and drinking as his fears dissipated, replaced by a newfound peace. Just ten days later, he encountered the Holy Spirit in a powerful way, feeling a warmth and strength that caused him to speak in a new language for hours.
Ministry Born from Divine Calling
Carlos felt a calling to share the message of Jesus with others. By 1981, he was holding his first crusade in Bernal, preaching to those who felt hopeless and burdened. His ministry, "Message of Salvation," founded in 1984, started mass crusades that drew thousands. Annacondia's approach was direct, often challenging unclean spirits and proclaiming Jesus as the answer to life's struggles.
Through his ministry, Carlos Annacondia has seen countless lives changed. His rallies have brought healing and hope to many in Argentina and beyond. He remains a vital figure in the Argentine Revival, always giving glory to Jesus for the transformation and unity experienced by so many.
