Life of Drug Addiction and Despair
Todd White's life is a testament to the transformative power of Jesus. For 22 years, Todd lived as a drug addict and atheist. His parents' divorce at age 11 led him into a tumultuous life, including a stint in the Marines that ended in dishonorable discharge. Todd's life spiraled into drugs, deceit, and hopelessness. He once said, 'I was a full-blown addict. I lived for myself, and I destroyed the lives of everyone around me.'
Divine Intervention Testimony Unfolds
In 2004, at his lowest point, Todd stumbled into a church, where he met Dan Mohler. Though initially skeptical, Todd called out to God in desperation: 'God, if You're real, help me. If You can take this life, it's Yours.' His plea was met with a remarkable encounter. While trying to purchase drugs, a dealer fired at him, yet Todd heard a voice say, 'I took those bullets for you. Are you ready to live for me yet?' This divine intervention marked a turning point.
God Delivered from Drugs Completely
After giving his life to Jesus, Todd still wrestled with addiction, but his transformation was underway. He entered the Teen Challenge rehab program and, upon completion, married his girlfriend. 'I woke up the next day, and I had no desire for drugs. I was completely free. Jesus set me free!' he recounted, illustrating the profound change Jesus brought to his life.
Todd's newfound faith drove him to share the Gospel fervently. He founded Lifestyle Christianity and Lifestyle Christianity University in Watauga, Texas, to equip believers to live a life empowered by Jesus. His ministry focuses on redemption and righteousness, urging believers to let the Holy Spirit work through them daily.
Deeper Understanding of True Gospel
However, in 2020, Todd faced a crisis of faith. He admitted to not preaching the 'whole Gospel' and repented for his previous focus on a 'feel-good message.' Embracing a more profound understanding of sin and repentance, he began studying Ray Comfort and Charles Spurgeon, saying, 'I feel like I just met Jesus again!'
Despite controversies and criticisms, Todd's journey underscores the reality of Jesus's transformative power. His life encourages others to seek God earnestly and live a life reflecting Jesus's love and truth.
