From Street Dealer to Drug Boss
Dimas Salaberrios grew up in Queens, New York, amidst the chaos of gangs and drugs. By the tender age of 11, he was already entangled in selling drugs, earning the street name 'Daylight.' Craving power and money, he rapidly expanded his operations, reaching as far as North Carolina and Washington, D.C. Despite the allure of his growing empire, Dimas was haunted by violence and the deaths of about 30 friends. During one harrowing incident, a gun was pressed to his head, but miraculously, it failed to fire.
Gang Member Encounters Supernatural Forces
In a pivotal moment, Dimas encountered a dark and oppressive force, heightened by a confrontation with a witch in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Yet, it was the fervent prayers of three women that broke through the darkness, bringing him a profound sense of peace. In that moment, Dimas prayed, 'Jesus, I'll quit selling hard drugs,' marking the beginning of his transformation.
Complete Surrender to Jesus Christ
Determined to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, Dimas abandoned his old life. He discarded his crack supply, ceased carrying guns, and ended his live-in relationship. Under the guidance of a local minister in North Carolina, he was discipled and baptized, culminating in a decision to surrender fully to God.
Street to Ministry Conversion Story
Dimas felt a divine calling to return to New York City, where he founded Infinity Bible Church in the Bronx River Housing Projects, contributing significantly to the reduction of crime in the area. As he boldly declared, 'If I could risk so much for Satan, I'm gonna go all out for Jesus.' His journey took him across the globe, preaching, smuggling Bibles into China, and leading relief efforts in Haiti. Today, as the president of Concerts of Prayer Greater NYC, Dimas continues to impact lives, driven by the transformative power of Jesus Christ.
