A Second-Hand Faith
Tara-Leigh Cobble grew up in a Christian home in Tennessee, familiar with faith from a young age. Despite this, her understanding of God was mostly second-hand. She often found the Bible confusing and struggled to connect with it, even calling herself a 'Genesis scholar' due to her repeated attempts that never moved beyond the first book.
A New Approach
A pivotal moment came when a pastor advised her to read the Bible not as a self-help guide, but to seek God's character. This advice transformed her approach, and by 2008, she had read the entire Bible for the first time.
Falling in Love with God
Though initially unsure about her feelings towards God, Cobble shared, 'I was smitten, but with the Lord, not the pastor.' With this new perspective, she fell in love with the God she discovered in the scriptures. This transformation led her to create The Bible Recap, helping millions encounter God through His Word.
