Life of Addiction in Texas
Craig James, known by his stage name 5iveola, grew up in a small Texas town without a father. His early life was marked by struggles and the allure of drugs. He became addicted to meth, crack, and cocaine, living as a functioning addict for years. But everything changed on November 7, 2010.
Instant Deliverance from Drug Addiction
During a church service, Craig's life took a dramatic turn. His aunt, battling stage four cancer, was fervently praying for him. In that moment, Craig experienced a profound intervention. As he later shared, "I called on his name and he healed me... I literally meant it when I called on his name... 'If you don't show up, I'm done.'" Jesus responded to his desperate plea, and Craig was instantly delivered from his addictions without any withdrawal symptoms.
Walking in Complete Freedom
Since that day, Craig has remained free from relapse, dedicating his life to sharing his story and helping others trapped in addiction. He partners with Christian-based rehabilitation centers and uses his platform in Christian hip hop to reach those who feel lost. Craig often reflects on how Jesus restored "the joy of [his] salvation" and credits his freedom entirely to divine intervention.
A Testimony of Hope
Craig's journey from addiction to freedom is a testament to the power of faith and the transformative love of Jesus. He continues to give thanks and glory to God for the new life he's been given, using his story as a beacon of hope for others struggling with similar battles.
