Amal Haddad's journey began in the war-torn streets of Aleppo, Syria. Fleeing the horrors of civil war, she found herself in Germany, grappling with the immense trauma and loss she had endured. Raised in a Muslim family, Amal was familiar with faith, but the war had left her questioning everything she had known. 'I felt lost and without hope,' she would often reflect. It was in a Berlin refugee camp in March 2025 where her story took a transformative turn. Amidst the uncertainty of her future, she encountered Christian aid workers offering both humanitarian and spiritual support.
At a prayer meeting organized by local church volunteers, Amal experienced a profound sense of peace. She described it as feeling embraced by a love she had never known, as though God was speaking directly to her heart. This moment marked the beginning of her conversion to Christianity. The following month, she was baptized, a symbolic act of her newfound faith and commitment.
With her conversion, Amal found a renewed sense of purpose. She became an active member of her church community, dedicating herself to outreach programs for fellow refugees. Her transformation was evident not only in her actions but also in her demeanor. Those around her, including other refugees and aid workers, witnessed the remarkable change in her outlook on life.
Through prayer and community support, Amal's life was transformed. She attributes the peace and purpose she now feels to Jesus, crediting Him with the profound change she experienced. 'My life has been transformed,' she shares with others, eager to spread the joy and purpose she has found.
