From Drugs and Prison to Homelessness
Rob Wery's life was a tumultuous journey marked by early substance abuse and gang involvement, leading to time in prison with two of his sons. Upon release, Rob faced homelessness after completing rehab. But in this period of uncertainty, Rob encountered Green Pastures in Flintshire, a Christian organization that offered him housing and a new beginning. Attending church services, Rob felt a profound sense of connection, as if God was speaking directly to him. "That's when I first felt God. That's when I first felt love, to be honest," Rob shared.
God Provides Housing and Family
Through the support of Green Pastures and his newfound faith, Rob's life began to transform. His older sons entered recovery and found success in their careers. Rob met his wife, Claire, and together they have two young children. Green Pastures provided them with a home, and for the first time, Rob experienced the stability of paying bills on time. Reflecting on his journey, Rob testifies, "God saved me from drugs, prison, and homelessness."
