Hatred Consumed This Berber Man
In the heart of Kabylie, Algeria, a remarkable story of transformation unfolds. Al Hassan, a 26-year-old Berber man, found himself engulfed by deep-seated hatred. "Religious studies at school filled me with hate against other people," he recalls. "Hate towards those who don't respect us. And hate towards the Arabs that make life difficult for the Berbers in Algeria." These feelings led Al Hassan to question his beliefs, pondering, "Why do I believe what I do? What happens after death? Why do I hate others?"
Jesus Transformed Hatred to Love
Amidst his turmoil, Al Hassan encountered a beacon of hope through a Christian television channel, Miracle Channel. As he learned about Jesus, something shifted within him. The message of love and peace resonated deeply, offering a stark contrast to the animosity he had known. Al Hassan shares, "Jesus cleansed my heart and gave me love and joy and a new hope."
Facing Persecution for Faith
His journey to faith was not without challenges. In a society where conversion to Christianity is fraught with social and legal obstacles, Al Hassan faced potential rejection from his community and scrutiny from authorities. Yet, the peace and joy he found in Jesus provided strength to face these trials. "Even if I die, my soul is going to heaven," he declared with newfound confidence.
Sharing Christ in North Africa
Today, Al Hassan is committed to sharing the message of Jesus with others in North Africa. His life has become a testament to the transformative power of Christ's love, demonstrating how Jesus can bring peace to the most troubled hearts. Through his story, Al Hassan gives all glory to Jesus, who brought him from darkness into light.
