Life of Chaos and Addiction
Born into a challenging environment in Jacksonville, Florida, Kimberly Daniels' early life was marked by turmoil. Her grandmother was involved in murder, her father in racketeering, and her mother battled gambling addiction. Despite these circumstances, Kimberly excelled as a sprinter, gaining national recognition in junior college and the military. However, her life took a dark turn when she encountered drug addiction. Kimberly recalls, "I was always around drugs and the fast life. I met this guy, and we started doing drugs...he literally cooked it and made it into crack. I OD'd on the first time ever hitting crack...I was hooked." This path led her to a life on the streets, steeped in chaos.
From Voodoo to Jesus
At 14, her mother introduced her to a "root man," hoping to enhance her athletic prowess through voodoo. Kimberly, however, resisted these practices, stating, "I rebelled against the voodoo dog." It wasn't until she watched the movie "A Thief in the Night," which depicts the rapture, that her life began to change. "I met the Lord watching a movie," she said, marking a profound encounter with Jesus.
Called to Worldwide Ministry
God's intervention was clear as Kimberly described being "supernaturally plunged into a worldwide Ministry." Through this divine calling, she founded Spoken Word Ministries, now known as Rhema Way City Church, focusing on deliverance and spiritual warfare. She earned a degree in criminology and furthered her education with a Master's and Doctorate in Christian disciplines.
Living Transformed and Redeemed
Kimberly's transformation from a life of darkness to one of ministry has had a lasting impact. She served as a Jacksonville City Council member and a Florida State Representative, using her platform to share her story of redemption. Kimberly acknowledges, "God saved my life because I would have...lift my eyes up in hell during that time." Her journey exemplifies how Jesus can transform lives, turning despair into hope.
