Trapped in Darkness
Annie Lobert's life took a harrowing turn when she entered the world of sex trafficking in her late teens. Born in 1967 and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she initially saw the sex industry as a means to gain financial independence and power. However, this path led her to Las Vegas, where she became trapped under the control of a pimp, enduring years of abuse and manipulation. By the early 2000s, Annie was battling substance addiction and felt consumed by despair.
A Cry for Help
In 2003, Annie's life reached a critical juncture. After nearly two decades in the sex industry, she experienced a near-fatal overdose. It was in this moment of crisis that she cried out to God, pleading for deliverance. As Annie recounts in her book, 'I was in a place where I felt like I was literally in hell. I was desperate for a change, and that's when I cried out to God for help.' This heartfelt plea marked the beginning of her transformation.
Surrender and Healing
Following this spiritual awakening, Annie surrendered her life to Jesus Christ and began a new journey of healing and redemption. She emerged from the shadows of her past, dedicating herself to helping others escape the clutches of the sex industry.
Hookers for Jesus
In a bold step to support women like herself, Annie founded 'Hookers for Jesus,' a non-profit organization committed to providing aid and recovery for those seeking freedom from exploitation.
Annie Lobert's story is a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith and the possibility of new beginnings. Her journey from a life of exploitation to one of advocacy and hope underscores the profound impact that a relationship with Jesus can have. Through her work, Annie continues to shine a light in the darkest corners, offering hope and healing to those who need it most. With gratitude, she attributes her newfound purpose and strength to the intervention of Jesus.
