A Childhood Decision
Anne Graham Lotz's journey of faith began in her childhood in Asheville, North Carolina. Despite her father, Billy Graham, being frequently absent due to his global ministry, Anne found her own relationship with God at the tender age of eight. After watching 'The King of Kings' on Good Friday, she realized, 'I knew that he had died for me... I told him I was sorry for my sin, I asked him to forgive me to come into my heart.' This profound moment marked the beginning of her lifelong devotion to Jesus.
Nurturing Faith Through Scripture
Marrying Dr. Daniel Lotz at 18, Anne embraced the challenges of young motherhood while nurturing her spiritual life. Initially feeling distant from God due to the busyness of family life, she sought Him through Scripture, which became her anchor. In 1976, Anne began teaching a class for Bible Study Fellowship in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her commitment to teaching Scripture laid the foundation for her future ministry.
AnGeL Ministries
Anne founded AnGeL Ministries, a testament to her calling as a messenger of God. The name reflects her initials and symbolizes her role in delivering God's messages. Her 'Just Give Me Jesus' revivals, which took place in major arenas worldwide, emphasized her desire to inspire women to seek Jesus above all else. These events, held in over 30 cities and 12 countries, were a direct response to her belief that 'Jesus is still seated on the throne.'
Faith Through Trials
Throughout her life, Anne faced significant trials, including her husband's death and her own battle with cancer. Yet, she remained steadfast, often reflecting, 'Trust Me when you don't understand.' Her faith in Jesus provided strength during these challenging times.
Anne's writings and public speaking continue to encourage many to pursue a personal relationship with God. As she humbly states, 'I felt that God had called me to be a messenger, not build a ministry, not to make a name for myself, but to be a messenger to whoever he put in front of me.' Her life's work is a testament to the transformative power of faith.
