Lola Sheen, 19-year-old daughter of actors Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, stunned the entertainment world when she shared photos of her baptism and a powerful testimony of how Jesus rescued her from depression.
Rock Bottom Depression Battle
Currently studying journalism at Pepperdine University, Lola reached a breaking point in her mental health battle. "When I was in my deepest depression, there was a moment where I realized I had hit rock bottom," she wrote. "I felt so lost and hopeless, just trying to make it to the next day. I accepted that my life was always going to be like that, and I thought I would never genuinely laugh again."
Social Media Leads to Faith
Her journey to faith began unexpectedly through social media. While struggling mentally, Lola came across a video by faith-based influencer Ally Yost, who was "talking about Jesus when I was in a hard time." This sparked her desire to seek out a Christian church.
"I think once I started to think about Him, the next night, that's when He came to me," Lola shared. "It really felt like He took my hand and just said, 'I am here to rescue you and try this again now with Me.'""
Jesus Rewires Her Mind
The transformation was supernatural. "I can't explain it other than it literally was supernatural," she told People magazine. "Jesus rescued me and he completely rewired my mind."
Baptism and New Ministry
Lola was baptized at the beginning of 2025, publicly declaring Jesus as her savior. "I chose to get baptized at the beginning of this year because I made it through this year only by the strength of Jesus," she wrote. "And I am so happy to go into this next year after publicly declaring Jesus as my savior."
She has since launched a faith-based podcast and YouTube channel called "Heavily Bonded" where she discusses Christianity and personal growth. "It's been so encouraging and so overwhelming, but in the best way possible," she said. "It just shows that God really can do anything so unexpectedly."
