Living in the Shadows of Abuse
In the quiet shadows of her life, Monica Pyles faced a reality many dare not speak of. The abuse she endured was not just physical but seeped into emotional and psychological realms, leaving her feeling isolated and worthless. Living in fear, her trust in others and in God waned, leading to a time of deep questioning and despair.
Crying Out to God
Monica's journey took a pivotal turn during a moment of desperation, when she found herself crying out to God for help. "I broke down on my knees and just cried out to God for Him to help me, and He did," she recalls. It was in this moment that Monica experienced God's presence in a profound way, realizing that He had been reaching out to her all along.
God Healed Emotional Trauma
As Monica surrendered her life to Jesus, she began to feel a glimmer of hope and peace. Her transformation was marked by the renewing of her mind, replacing the lies she believed about herself with the truth of God's Word. She discovered her worth and identity in Christ, learning to see herself as loved and precious. "My life was finally being built not on what someone else said to me, but on the truth of God's word," she shares.
Walking in Freedom and Purpose
Through her relationship with Jesus, Monica found the strength to forgive her abuser, not for their sake, but for her own healing. Letting go of anger and bitterness, she began to develop healthy boundaries and relationships. Monica's story did not end with her own healing; she felt called to help others, becoming an advocate for abuse survivors and using her testimony to offer hope.
Today, Monica's life is filled with purpose and joy. She is a testament to God's unwavering love and faithfulness, living proof that Jesus heals and restores. She encourages other survivors to seek help and turn to Jesus, declaring, "Only God, through Jesus Christ, can totally heal us. There is freedom through Christ Jesus."
