Record a step: tap the centre button and start typing or speaking, right away, into a rotating prompt that never feels like a checklist. It autosaves as you go, and it's private: from you, for you. Hold the centre button down instead for a full prophecy or testimony record. Add to it from anywhere: a Doxa Engage message, a Bible verse, a bookmarked verse, or an Encouragement Vault record, and turn any step into a full Encouragement Vault record when it's ready. A gentle weekly rhythm keeps your personal best in view (you can switch it off), and "on this day" brings back what God showed you before. An optional daily reminder invites you back. No. Doxa Engage is not medical advice, mental health services, legal advice, financial advice, or pastoral counselling. It's a tool for spiritual reflection that draws from Scripture, testimonies, and your own Encouragement Vault. If you're in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline. Doxa will always point you toward real people and real help.

Voice sessions in Doxa Engage stream audio in real time to ElevenLabs. Doxa does not store your voice audio from Doxa Engage sessions, ElevenLabs does not keep it after the session ends, and it is not used for training. Your voice recordings in the Encouragement Vault are different: those are transcribed by AssemblyAI (Deepgram is the backup if AssemblyAI cannot transcribe one), and the audio is stored securely so you can play them back anytime.

In a Doxa Engage text session, your messages and the records retrieved to generate a response go to Anthropic (Claude); when a record is retrieved, the whole record can be sent. Voice sessions go to ElevenLabs with a short excerpt of a few relevant entries. When you save a record, its text goes to OpenAI on its own, with no name, email, or account ID, to build the search index that lets Doxa bring it back to you later. OpenAI also receives your search queries (including searches run during a Doxa Engage session), text you submit for sharing, and the text of a Doxa Engage session when it ends, so Doxa can save notes that help later sessions, again with no name, email, or account ID. Your Encouragement Vault is never sent to an AI provider as one export. For transcription, AssemblyAI (or Deepgram as backup) receives only the audio file. Every provider works under a contract, and our privacy policy lists every sub-processor and exactly what data each one receives.

Yes, and we'll be straight with you about how it works. Your data is encrypted in transit and with AES-256 at rest, in London. We use AI to power Doxa Engage, but Doxa does not train AI on your sessions, we don't read your Encouragement Vault unless you ask us to, and we don't sell your data. Your spiritual content is never used for advertising. Our website uses advertising cookies only as our cookie banner and Cookie Policy describe. To measure Doxa's own ads, the mobile app shares only a device advertising identifier and a short list of milestone events with Meta, and you can turn that off (on iOS it needs your permission first). You're recording personal spiritual moments. We built the entire app knowing that demands real trust.

Doxa does not train AI models on your data. OpenAI and Anthropic do not train on it under their business terms, and AssemblyAI does not train on voice recordings sent to its European servers, which is where Doxa sends them. ElevenLabs, which runs Engage voice sessions, can use content to improve its models unless the customer opts out, and Doxa has not yet opted out. ElevenLabs keeps no recording of your voice and deletes session transcripts after 7 days. Section 8 of our privacy policy has the detail for each provider.

Only you, unless you choose otherwise. Every record is private by default. You decide what to share, who to share it with, and whether to post it to a group. You can unshare anything at any time. Your Encouragement Vault is yours.

Your data is yours. We're building Doxa to last, but if the worst happened, you could ask us for a copy of everything: recordings, transcriptions, Encouragement Vault entries. We will never hold your spiritual history hostage.

Yes. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Under GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to erasure. We also support data portability: ask us for a copy of your records before you delete. Email privacy@doxa.app, or delete your account in the app's settings.

In the United Kingdom, on encrypted servers in London managed by Supabase (our database provider) on Amazon Web Services. Encryption is HTTPS/TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest, with row-level security on every database query. Every sub-processor we use is listed in our privacy policy, with what it does and what data it receives. We don't run our own data centres because frankly, the professionals do it better and more securely.

We use essential cookies for sign-in. Our website also uses analytics cookies (Google Analytics and PostHog) and advertising cookies (the Meta and X pixels) to measure our own ads. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, a banner asks you first; elsewhere you can reject them with Cookie settings in the footer. There are no ads inside Doxa. To measure Doxa's own ads, the mobile app shares a device advertising identifier and a short list of milestone events with Meta, never your content, and you can turn that off (on iOS it needs your permission first). If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the website treats it as Reject, unless you choose otherwise in Cookie settings. Nothing. They're yours. Everything in Your Encouragement Vault stays permanently. Downgrading only changes your access to Doxa Engage. You never lose what you've already created.

Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are managed by Apple and follow their refund policies. For subscriptions purchased through our website via Stripe, contact us at hello@doxa.app and we'll sort it out. We don't do guilt trips on the way out either.

Doxa includes the complete Bible with a reading experience we think you'll love. But it's more than a Bible app. Scripture in Doxa is connected to your Encouragement Vault records, to Grace Record testimonies, and to Doxa Engage sessions. It's the Bible, alive and in context.

Doxa is designed for ages 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. It works well for youth groups, college ministries, and mentorship. Built for believers who want depth without religious jargon. No cringe. Just a real tool for real faith.

Doxa Engage draws from multiple translations including NASB (The Lockman Foundation), The Passion Translation (Passion & Fire Ministries), Berean Standard Bible, and World English Bible. Scripture quotations are used under licence or from public domain sources and attributed accordingly.
