What is a Christian testimony?
The word is borrowed from a courtroom. A witness takes the stand and reports what they saw. That is all a testimony is: a report of something God did, given by the person it happened to or by someone who watched it happen. It carries no obligation to explain, defend or draw a lesson from what happened.
Most testimonies have three parts. What life was like. What God did. What changed afterwards. The useful ones are specific: a date, a place, a name, a diagnosis, an amount. Specificity is what makes a story usable to the next person who needs it.
