DoxaBot for Discord
Scripture, summoned. In your Discord server.
DoxaBot brings Scripture and encouragement to your Discord server. Three slash commands:
/encourage,
/scripture,
/doxaway.
Free, no signup, anti-companion by design. Built for youth groups, church servers, and Christian
communities.
Three slash commands
/encourage [what you're carrying]
Christian encouragement in the Doxa voice, with embedded Scripture references. Third-person, no persona, points to Jesus.
Example: /encourage I'm tired and tempted to give up
/scripture [reference]
Bible verse lookup against the Berean Standard Bible. Single verses and ranges supported. Every result links straight back into the full Bible reader in the Doxa app.
Example: /scripture Psalm 23:1-3
/doxaway [movement?]
The full Doxa Way journey map. Pull a single movement (Hear, Discern, Test, Record, Remember, Engage, Trust, Fight, Endure) or list them all.
Example: /doxaway remember

Scripture, summoned. Not an AI companion.
DoxaBot uses the same voice as the Doxa app and Doxa MCP. Third-person. No persona. The bot never says "I feel for you" or "I'm here for you". It does not pretend to be a pastor or a friend. Responses point toward Jesus and Scripture, not toward the bot itself.
141 KB of voice and edge-case rules sit behind every reply. The system passed Cameron Pak's faith.tools 5 unofficial rules for Christian AI apps at 5/5 on the critical-fail tests. More on the Doxa anti-companion stance.
Built for Christian communities on Discord
Youth groups
Gen Z lives on Discord. The Doxa voice passes the screenshot test. Encouragement that does not sound like a church bulletin.
Church servers
A shared scripture command for sermon prep threads, small group channels, prayer chains, and community check-ins.
Small groups
Drop /encourage into a thread when
someone is wobbling between weekly meetings. Steady wisdom for the next mile.
Christian creator communities
For Discords organised around Christian musicians, writers, podcasters, and worship leaders. Scripture-grounded encouragement on tap.
How it's built
DoxaBot for Discord is a thin Discord adapter on top of Doxa MCP, Doxa's hosted Model Context Protocol server. The same three tools that power Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Cline through MCP also power the three Discord slash commands. The voice is identical across every surface.
Hosted on Fly.io. Owned by The Doxa Way Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Report abuse: abuse@doxa.app.
Frequently asked questions
What is DoxaBot for Discord?
DoxaBot is a free Christian Discord bot. Three slash commands: /encourage,
/scripture,
/doxaway.
Built and owned by The Doxa Way Ltd, the makers of the Doxa app and Doxa MCP.
How do I add DoxaBot to a Discord server?
Click the Add to Discord button on this page. Discord's standard OAuth flow opens. Select the server (you need Manage Server permissions) and authorise the three slash commands. DoxaBot is live in 30 seconds.
Is DoxaBot free?
Yes. Free for all Discord servers, no signup, no payment method. Doxa absorbs the LLM cost as of May 2026. A fair-use cap per server may apply later if the bot's usage grows. For unlimited calls inside a custom client, use Doxa MCP with your own Anthropic key (bring your own key).
Is DoxaBot an AI companion?
No. Scripture, summoned. The voice is third-person, no persona, anti-companion by design. The same voice rules as the Doxa app. See the Christian AI hub for the full anti-companion stance.
What other Christian Discord bots exist?
A handful of Bible-verse bots have existed for years (BibleBot, VerseOfTheDay), all focused on Scripture lookup with no AI capability. DoxaBot is the first to combine Scripture lookup with AI-powered encouragement built against the companion pattern.
Can I use DoxaBot in a youth group Discord?
Yes. DoxaBot is designed for Christian communities, including youth groups, church servers, and small group Discords. The Doxa voice is Open Tent (Christian-rooted, not church-jargon-heavy) and passes the Gen Z screenshot test.
