Global Bible Month 2026: Keep the Verse God Speaks to You Each Week
Read the Bible every day this November and keep one verse a week that God made alive to you. A four-week companion for Global Bible Month, for anyone reading alone or with a church.

God spoke, and the heavens were made. "For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm" (Psalms 33:9). This November, believers all over the world are opening that same word every day for thirty days. Global Bible Month is a 30-day Bible challenge through November 2026, and people, ministries and Bible apps are reading together. Read with whatever plan your church uses, in print or on any app.
This companion adds one quiet habit to the month. Each week, write down the one verse God made alive to you, the date, and what you think He is saying through it. At the end of November you hold four verses that are yours, and you can return to them in the years ahead. A notebook works, and so does the Doxa app, which keeps each verse and what you heard in your Encouragement Vault, by voice or by text. David sang this call to his own soul: "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds" (Psalms 103:2).

What is Global Bible Month?
Global Bible Month is a worldwide invitation to read the Bible every day through November. The 2026 campaign welcomes people, ministries, global brands and Bible apps (globalbiblemonth.com). You choose the plan and the pace. The only aim is to open God's word every day and let Him speak.
Before you start each morning, pray the psalmist's prayer: "Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things from Your law" (Psalms 119:18).
Week 1 (1 to 7 November): shelter
Start the month in Psalm 91. The psalmist began with a place to live: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”" (Psalms 91:1-2). Read the whole psalm on the first day, then go on with your plan. When a verse stops you this week, write it down with the date. Next to it, write where you need God's shelter now, in your notebook or in the Doxa app.
Week 2 (8 to 14 November): write it down
God told Habakkuk to keep what He said: "Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this vision and clearly inscribe it on tablets, so that a herald may run with it." (Habakkuk 2:2). This week, choose the verse from your reading that you most want to carry. Write it out in full, word for word, and add one sentence about what God is doing with it in you. A record made on an ordinary Tuesday becomes a testimony you can read back when the answer comes. Doxa is built for this: record it in the app and it waits for you in your Encouragement Vault.
Week 3 (15 to 21 November): remember
Read back what you have kept so far. The people of God have always remembered on purpose. After the LORD stopped the Jordan, Joshua set up twelve stones from the riverbed so that their children would ask what they meant (Joshua 4). Your notebook does the same work. Pick one of your verses and learn it by heart this week. Say it aloud when you wake, and tell it to one person who needs to hear it.
Week 4 (22 to 30 November): burning hearts
On the road to Emmaus, Jesus walked with two sad disciples and opened the Scriptures to them. "They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”" (Luke 24:32). In the last week of the month, read all your verses together and ask where your heart burned. Then thank God for each one. The month ends, and what He said stays: "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever." (Isaiah 40:8).
Reading with your church or small group?
There is a free four-week guide for leaders, with passages, questions and a practice for each meeting: His Word Will Not Return Empty, the Bible Month small-group guide. When November ends, the church Advent guide carries the same habit to Christmas. Leaders can also see how Doxa works for churches, or go deeper in the free courses.
