Element 6 of 6

Trust

Walking out what God has said — even when life argues against it.

To trust is to act on the word. Not because the circumstances have changed, but because the One who spoke is faithful. Trust is hearing, prophesying, recording, testing, and remembering — turned into how we live today.

Hebrews 10:23 — Let us hold fast the confession of our hope, for he who promised is faithful.

Common questions about trust

How do I trust God when nothing has changed?

Trust is not built on changed circumstances; it is built on the character of God revealed in what He has already said and done. When circumstances do not move, return to the words and the testimonies that already proved Him faithful. Trust is a remembering exercise as much as a future-facing one.

What do I do when the word God gave me seems delayed?

Most prophetic words have a delay between when they are given and when they are fulfilled. David waited fifteen years for the throne. Joseph waited longer. The delay is not the death of the word; it is often the place where the word does its real work. Hold the word, return to it, and refuse to forget.

Is courage a personality trait or a gift from God?

Scripture treats courage as a gift, not a trait. God repeatedly tells His people to take courage — meaning the courage is something He gives, not something they generate. Courage arrives when God speaks; trust is what we do with the courage He gives.

How do I keep going when faith feels too hard?

Remember what He has said. Remember what He has done. Speak it out loud. Find the people who will speak it back to you. Endurance is not produced by gritting your teeth; it is produced by feeding on the right food. Hope is fed; it does not appear on its own.
